Thank You For Making the 5th Annual GALABC Golf Tournament a Success!!

The 5th Annual GALA Charity Golf Tournament was once again a great success with 68 golfers competing for a great first place prize consisting of a round of golf for four at the beautiful Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville. Co-Chairs Terry and Anne Yeager were blessed to have incredible assistance from board member Diane Cast who garnered wonderful raffle prizes and former board member Charlie Taylor who recruited many of the golfers and hole sponsors. New this year was a lunch at the turn, with legendary Smith Provision hot dogs flown in from Erie, PA. sponsored by long time supporter, Gary Anderson.  A BBQ dinner greeted the golfers after their round. Many of the GALA board members and Guardian supervisors helped made the tournament another success!

Many golfers indicated that with the great food and prizes they plan on returning next year to help our children in foster care.

Please share this great new video highlighting the role of and need for Guardian ad Litem volunteers across North Carolina!

Posted by Guardian ad Litem - Buncombe County on Tuesday, November 29, 2016

Guardian ad Litem Association of Buncombe County shared Guardian ad Litem - Buncombe County's post.

We are honored that these 18 community members decided to spend their precious volunteer time with Guardian ad Litem - Buncombe County!

After they completed 30 hours of training, Judge Ward Scott administered the Guardian ad Litem oath to the group yesterday afternoon. Everyone has their first case and is ready to take on the best interest advoacy for their child clients.
